Getting married at the Oxwich Bay Hotel, Gower.
Oxwich Bay is famous for it’s stunning long winding beach and is a key feature of this beautiful venue. It’s one of only a few coastal wedding venues in Wales. Ceremonies can be held in the Chestnut Room within the hotel and then the reception and evening party is held in the all year round marquee. There are multiple areas to use for photographs as well as woodlands and the beach.
The marquee is tucked into the end of the beach and is East facing which means it is protected from most weather. It is very adaptable to any decor style or theme and on warm summer days the sides can be rolled back to experience the uninterrupted panoramic views of the Gower.
The staff are extremely helpful and are calm, relaxed and attentive. The food is as amazing as the service.

What time should I get married?
Consider an early ceremony between 12pm and 1pm. In the winter this means you will make the most of available daylight and maybe you’ll catch the sun setting through the trees before your wedding breakfast. In the summer you could plan a larger time slot between your wedding meal and evening party, so everyone can enjoy the garden and even explore the beach.
Where should we have our wedding photos?
In the winter months when the days are shorter, the light can be amazing during the late afternoon. The marquee garden is perfect for any formal family shots, and for the bride and groom portraits you can take a walk on the beach or in the dunes away from any beach crowds, there are also woodlands behind the marquee ideal for hot sunny afternoons, then it’s best to go for a stroll on the beach later when the sun goes down, some fresh air just before your first dance and chance for some relaxed natural moments together.
