Engagement photo shoots in South Wales
So you have booked me for your wedding day, now let’s get to know each other a little more.
Often the first thing couples say to me is “I hate having my picture taken” or “we don’t really want to be posing for photos all day”. Well that’s not a problem at all, I much prefer you didn’t pose for me and just be yourselves.
On your big day I want you to be stress free and as relaxed as possible. Engagement photo shoots, they are a great way for us to get to know each other a little more and for you to see how I work around you.
My approach is simple, I’ll try to make you feel at ease, place you or point you in the right direction to make the most of a location or the light around you and then I step back, sometimes a couple will hug, hold hands or start to chat, or just stare at each other to see who starts giggling first, these are the moments when you forget about me and the camera.
It’s up to you when we arrange the photo shoot and it does give you the opportunity to pick somewhere you met or often visit or somewhere that is not possible on the big day, it also gives you the chance to choose the day and more importantly the weather.
We will spend a couple of hours, starting off with a coffee and a chat about your day and then move on to our location and have some fun.
Some thoughts for your engagement photo shoot, maybe tie in some colours or details that you may be using for your wedding day theme, you may want to include a message in a photograph which you can then use as a print or signing book for guests to sign at the wedding, or even use an image as part of your invite if you haven’t sent them already. If it is possible think about choosing a time when you can also arrange your makeup / hair trials, you could even get your makeup artist to change the style once you are happy with with it so you have a different look for your engagement photo shoot.
