Charlotte and Daniel’s rustic, boho King Arthur Hotel wedding, Gower, Swansea.
Charlotte and Daniel held their wedding at The King Arthur Hotel, Gower, Swansea. I arrived early in the morning on what was shaping up to be another soggy Welsh summer day. Just in time to head over to Oxwich with the groom, best man, ushers and a few other brave souls for a quick ‘skinny dip’. Apparently this is becoming a tradition for them, so I went along for the ride (fully clothed) I managed to hide there modesty and the cool Welsh water woke them up ready for the day ahead.
Charlotte prepared in the King Arthur’s bridal suite with her bridesmaids and flower girls, with the help of Lucie Summerfield on hair duty and Julie Holmes on make up. Meanwhile Charlotte’s cousin Mark was busy wading through more flowers than I’ve ever seen at any venue. He created the table centrepieces, the bouquets and the button holes from endless buckets of fresh flowers.
I love it when a father of the bride tears up, it’s such an emotional moment and this day was no exception.
After the ceremony the weather gave us a brief break and we managed to shoot groups outside and have some time for the couple’s pictures in the venue’s gardens before making a dash over to Broadpool on Cefn Bryn where they had also asked for pictures. The rain clouds descended and the wind picked up but Charlotte made the decision to go for it and we managed to get some shots before we blew away.
Both Charlotte and Daniel love their tattoos and to celebrate their big day they’d had King Arthur’s sword inked on to their wrists.
The evening’s entertainment was provided by The King Arthur’s DJ and much dance floor mayhem continued through the night.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.
