South Wales wedding photography at Oldwalls Gower
I photographed Alex and Eleri’s Oldwalls Gower wedding in March. The day began at Eleri’s parent’s home hair and make up was by Jodie Amner and the ceremony was held at Tabernacle Chapel near Ammanford.
It was a rainy day but everyone had come prepared and they were determined it wouldn’t dampen spirits. After the ceremony Alex and Eleri left the chapel to be greeted by a pitchfork honour guard. The wedding reception was held at Oldwalls Gower. Although we had discussed ideas for the couples photographs, because of the weather they were happy to be flexible.
On arrival we took all the planned formal groups and then headed in to the marquee for the wedding breakfast. My suggestion was that towards the end of the meal we could use Oldwalls’ beautiful Oakroom as an indoor location for pictures and we would have some privacy while everyone else was in the marquee. Luck was on our side because as they reached the end of the main course the rain stopped and the sun began to peek through the clouds. Eleri grabbed her wellies and we went outside for their pictures.
The evening’s entertainment was provided by Oldwalls Gower’s resident DJ who really knows how to whip up the crowd, add in a lively crowd and we had an amazing night.
